Travel through Fern Gully to the south of Ocho Rios and head into Jamaica’s beautiful mountainous interior.

We will keep going through local towns such as Brown’s Town, Alexandria and other communities in Jamaica’s picturesque countryside until we arrive at the little village of Nine Mile which is a quaint little place in the beautiful mountainous interior of St. Ann. Hundreds of hard core Bob Marley fans come to this remote part of Jamaica in the hills of St Ann to see the birth place and final resting place of the king of Reggae music as well as learn about the meaning of the lyrics of his music.

Not long after arriving at the small village of Nine Mile, you will arrive at the Marley family home. A Rastafarian guide greets you and immediately, you are faced with the friendly pleasant vibes which influenced the lyrics of many of Bob’s songs. The tour starts through the family house and it is not uncommon to be greeted by his mother or uncle while visiting on tour. as you are on this tour of the house where Bob Marley grew up you will get to not only meet the people he grew up with but touch his bed and really get to know him in-depth. This is a singing tour and your guide shares tales of Bob Marley’s childhood in the country, musical carrier and meaning behind and inspiration for the lyrics of his most famous songs, many of which the guides will sing for you and encourage you to sing along.

Afterwards you will be taken to the mausoleum – final resting place of the reggae king, where his body is entombed.

The message in Bob Marley’s music has influenced many persons all over the world for many years and despite his untimely death, the legend of Bob Marley lives on in the lyrics in his songs. Bob is truly one of the pioneers of reggae music. After the tour is completed your guide will be take you to our restaurant for lunch and refreshments.

Your return trip is a continuation of your excursion, which takes you through rural Jamaica, as you wind your way through scenic Muir House and Brown’s Town. You will see the Brown’s Town market, famous for its produce. There is no better way to end your tour as you return to your North Coast destination.

After you have finished your visit of Bob Marley’s Nine Mile home you will understand why he had many of the values that he did, qualities instilled during his childhood while growing up here.

On Ocho Rios you may stop for do some last minute souvenir shopping before returning to your cruise ship or resort.
